All students must complete a Security Clearance Registration Course Application Form via the Joint Event Management System (JEMIS). All security clearance information must be submitted to the JFSC Security Office at least 30 days prior to the first day of class. - Active Duty Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Military Students: Security clearances will be verified through the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) by the JFSC Security Office; this verification process begins with the student's enrollment into JEMIS prior to sending visit request/certification to JFSC Security. The Security Management Office (SMO) code to pass SECRET, TOP SECRET, and SCI clearances through DISS to JFSC is DJJNDU7. The name of the student's college (JAWS, JCWS, JCWS-H, JIOPC, JC4ISOC) and class number must be entered into the Visit Name section of the visit request for the clearance to be identified properly by JFSC Security Specialists. - DoD Military Reservists and National Guard Members: Security clearances must be passed to the JFSC Security Office by the student's Reserve/Guard command or DoD agency via a DISS visit request/certification. TS and SCI Clearances must be submitted separately via FAX to (757) 443-6035/46. Students who are attending JFSC based upon a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) must have their employing agency or organization submit a NACI confirmation with date of investigation on official letterhead via FAX to (757) 443-6035/46. Students who do not hold a security clearance will not be allowed to enroll in classified courses of instruction. This verification process will begin on 6 July 2021.
- Private Industry Civilians: Private industry students who hold a security clearance issued by the US Government must submit a Visit Request to JFSC's Security Office through DISS to JFSC SMO Code: DJJNDU7, or on their company's official letterhead via FAX to (757) 443-6035/46. TS and SCI Clearances must be submitted separately via FAX to (757) 443-6035/46. Private industry students who do not hold a security clearance will not be allowed to enroll in classified courses of instructions.

Students attending JAWS require a SCI clearance with access to SI/TK/G/HCS-P. Students on PCS orders should coordinate a Transfer in Status (TIS) with their SSO prior to arrival. Students on TDY orders must have their Servicing SSO send a SCI visit certification to include recertify authority. Clearance information can be forwarded to JFSC SSO via JWICS message to SSO JFSCOL or via DISS SMO code DJJNDU7. SSO will provide SCI Read in/Out indoctrination to U.S. students who have a full and current adjudicated clearance within the last six (6) years or deferred enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE) program with SCI eligibility reported in DISS, but do not have a servicing SSO. Students who do not have the required Background investigation should submit their investigation paperwork immediately upon verification of acceptance to the school. International Fellows (Students) shall have their security office send an SCI visit certification to include re-certify authority to JWICS MSG PLA SSO JFSCOL.

Clearance information can be forwarded to JFSC SSO via DISS SMO code DJJNDU7 or JWICS message to SSO JFSCOL.
