Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education (SEJPME)

The SEJPME Course is designed to expose enlisted personnel to joint education and prepare them to succeed by improving their ability to operate effectively as part of a future joint force and supervise multiple Service members.

Our goal is to provide the best possible online senior level enlisted joint professional military education (EJPME) course that we can in order to allow you to prepare for joint and multinational assignments. It takes a highly professional and cohesive team of staff and support personnel to make this happen.

Within Joint Forces Staff College (JFSC), the Joint Continuing and Distance Education School (JCDES) offers SEJPME. Our JCDES staff and faculty members are very professional and experienced. Staff and faculty members include military personnel (officer and enlisted), DOD civilians, and Title 10 civilians. Combined, we represent almost every component of our military student body (unfortunately we currently have no Coast Guard representative).

JFSC is just one college within the National Defense University (NDU) system. Students attending resident courses (primarily officer courses) come from U.S. military, U.S. government, and international military forces.

JFSC is located in Norfolk, Virginia, aboard Naval Support Activity (NSA) - Norfolk.

Located within a small geographic radius of JFSC, there are large military bases and major command headquarters for each Service:

Coast Guard Atlantic Area HQ;
Coast Guard ISC Portsmouth;
Coast Guard MLCLANT Norfolk; and
Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown.
Fort Eustis;
Fort Story;
Langley Air Force Base;
Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base;
Marine Corps Forces Command;
Marine Corps Security Forces;
Naval Air Station - Norfolk;
Naval Air Station - Oceana;
Naval Base - Norfolk; and
Norfolk Naval Shipyard

Additionally, co-located on NSA-Norfolk is North Atlantic Treaty Organization - Allied Command Transformation (NATO-ACT) with staff members from many member nations.
