Colonel Hal Everhart is a Marine Corps logistics officer, joint planner, and operational strategist with more than three decades of enlisted and commissioned service. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1992 and served in expeditionary airfield and signals intelligence assignments before earning his commission through the Enlisted Commissioning Program in 2002. His operational experience includes deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, Iraq in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, and numerous deployments and exercises throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific.

Colonel Everhart has served in command, planning, and joint staff assignments from the tactical through strategic levels. He commanded Combat Logistics Battalion 26 through pre-deployment training and a seven-month deployment as the Logistics Combat Element of the 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit, while also serving as Commander of Troops aboard USS ARLINGTON. His joint and service staff assignments include planner in the U.S. Central Command J4, Aide-de Camp to the Deputy Commander of U.S. Central Command, Marine Forces Command G4 Plans Officer, and Fleet Marine Officer and N5 Future Plans Officer at U.S. SECOND Fleet. At SECOND Fleet, he led planning for major naval, joint, and multinational operations and exercises, including ATLANTIC ALLIANCE 2025, FLEETEX 250, and the Navy’s 250th anniversary activities in New York, integrating Navy, Marine Corps, joint, interagency, allied, and partner capabilities.

Colonel Everhart is a graduate of the Marine Corps’ Expeditionary Warfare School, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, the Joint and Combined Warfighting School, and the U.S. Naval War College, where he earned a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies. His professional interests include operational art and design, joint and combined planning, naval integration, strategy, professional military education, and the development of leaders capable of solving complex military problems. His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He and his wife, Amy, have been married for 16 years and have a son.
