Col Jeffrey Danielson

Colonel Jeffrey T. Danielson, USAF
Director, Joint Advanced Warfighting School

Colonel Jeffrey Danielson is a Joint Qualified Officer currently serving as Director at the Joint Advanced Warfighter School (JAWS), National Defense University. Prior to being selected as Director, Colonel Danielson served for three years as JAWS military faculty.  He is a Senior Combat Systems Officer with ~2,000 flight hours in the KC-135, C-130, EC-130, T-1, T-43 and other aircraft including 450 combat hours.

Colonel Danielson previously served as the Chief, South and Central Asia Division, Joint Staff Directorate for Strategy, Plans, and Policy (J5). He has also served as Military Advisor at the Department of State, Office of Afghanistan Affairs and was an AF/PAK Hand and Deputy Commander, 438th Expeditionary Advisory Group, Kabul.

Colonel Danielson is a native of South Carolina and earned his ungraduated degree from Grove City College, Pennsylvania. He was commissioned at Officer Training School in 1999 and holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Arts Strategic Security Studies from the College of International Security Affairs, National Defense University.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with Combat Device, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor, and NATO Afghanistan Medal.
